Ah, bacon wrapped shrimp! Or in the words of Ron Swanson “That’s my number-one favorite food wrapped around my number-three favorite food”. I couldn’t have said it better myself! I mean who doesn’t love a good bacon wrapped shrimp!? (vegetarians I guess)
I love to make this easy recipe during the holidays, because it’s a fast and tasty appetizer to snack on.

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Who doesn’t love a good bacon wrapped shrimp!? This simple, yet irresistible bacon wrapped shrimp recipe is the perfect finger food for entertaining! Serve them with your favorite dipping sauces!
- 16 large shrimps (peeled and deveined)
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 tbsp Seafood or Meat seasoning
- 16 toothpicks
- Preheat oven to 450F.
Peel and devein shrimp, place in a large bowl.
- Season shrimp with seafood or meat seasoning and let shrimp sit for approximately 15 minutes.
Note: use large shrimp, as this will make the cooking time for the shrimp and the bacon equal. Medium or small shrimp can get overcooked and become chewy and rubbery.
- Cut bacon strips in half.
- Roll/wrap each shrimp with ½ slice of bacon, and secure using a toothpick.
- Line a baking sheet with tinfoil, and place a baking rack inside the baking sheet.
Place the shrimp on the baking rack to keep shrimp out of bacon drippings while cooking.
Cook bacon wrapped shrimp for 10-15 minutes or until shrimp and bacon are cooked through.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
Enjoy!
The Bonus Cookbook
For those who are interested to see how I made this bacon wrapped shrimp recipe, here’s some bonus info and a few extra photos to help you out! Here’s what you’ll need to make this tasty snack:
Ingredients:
- 16 large shrimps, peeled and deveined
- 8 slices of bacon
- Seafood or Meat seasoning, to taste (I use McCormick’s)
- toothpicks
Start by preheating your oven to 450F.
Peel and devein the shrimp, and place in a large bowl.
Season the shrimp with seafood or meat seasoning and let the shrimp sit for approximately 15 minutes.
You can season them with whichever seasoning you prefer. I personally like to use McCormick’s meat seasoning, but i’ve also tried their chipotle BBQ seasoning which is also delicious.
Use large shrimp, as this will make the cooking time for the shrimp and the bacon equal. Medium or small shrimp can easily overcook and become chewy or rubbery.
Cut the bacon strips in half.
Roll/wrap each shrimp with ½ slice of bacon, and secure each shrimp using a toothpick.
Line a baking sheet with tinfoil, and place a baking rack inside the baking sheet. The tinfoil will help make clean up fast and easy.
Put the rolled shrimp on the baking rack to keep the shrimp out of the bacon drippings while cooking. (they can become soggy)
Cook the bacon wrapped shrimp for 10-15 minutes, or until the shrimp and bacon are cooked through.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauces and Enjoy!
Cheers!
