The Bonus Cookbook

For those who are interested to see how I made this crostini recipe, here’s some bonus info and a few extra photos to help you out! Here’s what you’ll need to make this tasty snack:

Asiago Garlic Crostini with Rosemary Garlic Baked Camembert

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf fresh asiago or cheese baguette (plain would also work)
  • 1tbsp garlic – minced
  • olive oil
  • paprika
  • kosher or sea salt

Start by preheating your oven to 350F.

Slice your baguette as thin as possible (about 1/8”-1/4” thick if you can).

If you can’t find an asiago or cheese baguette, (or prefer it plain) they’re still delicious as a plain garlic crostini. You can also add a thin layer of grated asiago or parmesan on top before baking.

Place baguette slices on a tinfoil lined baking sheet.

Spread a thin layer of minced garlic (about 1/4 tsp) onto each piece of sliced bread. I like to used pickled garlic from the store, mostly because it saves time and energy. However, you can also use fresh minced garlic as well.

Drizzle with olive oil, kosher or sea salt, and paprika to taste.

Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes until crispy and brown, but not burned. (it’s a very fine line, so watch them like a hawk)

Allow the crostini to cool on a baking rack so they can finish hardening.  If you’re having a party, you can make these crostini the day before and store them in a container overnight.

Serve with your favorite toppings, or soft cheeses. Enjoy!

Cheers!
